you can see the routed neck cavity through the guard. no model name on the headstock. very odd.

This actually has a lot of my favorite things; P90, Wrapover bridge, 24 3/4 scale, 70's headstock, contoured heel... But the pickguard spoils it for me. Its like they've made it symmetrical but it looks wrong against the body shape.
$960 is scary too, is it MIM i guess?

Still, hats off to Fender this time from me. They've tried to do something different, it looks a workhorse and it offers some features you'd be pushed to find on any Fender ever made.

Made in USA on the headstock - interesting features, but Fender always manage to be a bit 'dad at the disco' in the cool stakes.

This is classic Fender. In the spirit of the the Swinger, Musiclander, Maverick etc this is just some shit they threw together from left-over parts.

In this case these pieces of shits are just aborted Stratosonics. They reused the bodies they had left over (hence the chrome buttplug) and the bridges (incidently the bit I like best).

The pickguard could be better, but otherwise I would totally rock that green one, there are lots of things right with that guitar.

Incidently, the Stratosonic is a lovely looking guitar.

This sheds more light. Disappointing.

I love the idea of new models... even if they aren't THAT new... but I'm having a hard time being stoked about this. I'm with Thom though, that green is hot! I'm also not big on the pickguard; it almost works, but it's just a touch too much.

The contoured heel was a great call, and the P-90. I'm not sure how I feel about the wrap-around; I always have mixed feelings about them, and I haven't tried this style before.

Except that it's nearly $1k! Way too much money for not enough guitar. If this was $500 less, it would almost be ideal, however.

If this were cheaper, it would be tempting.

by endsjustifymeans
I'd hit the green.
