Daisy Chaining Octave Effects

Post by S. Thompson »

Specifically, I'm trying to hear in my head what a string of EHX POGs would sound like (or an equally non glitchy octave effect).

Anyone seen any videos of this sort of thing done? How many generations before the signal just gets obliterated?

Running an octave signal into a POG just sounds shit, and running my POG into my Micro Synth with either of the octaves turned up sounds similarly gash.

Multiple octave pedals: Just don't do it, kids.

About the only additional octave type effect that sounds half decent with the POG is my French Toast with the upper octave switched in. But also kind of redundant, too.

In answer to your question then, probably not much. I can imagine three POGs would do the trick, two if you're just whacking everything up full. I imagine you'd get some pretty awful noises, and maybe your head would explode.
