ZOMG! 3 Finished Projects in time for FALLz0rs

I had to delete old projects because Flickr told me anything over 200 means I have to upgrade to Pro. They don't realize what they had. The community and comments are where the revenue is, not stupid membership fees. The users would have promoted camera equipment like no ad campaign ever could.

1967 Gretsch Clipper
New pickup ring, bone nut--will sell with Super Chet humbucker because the Hilotron is pretty thin jazz strength. It has all the OG wiring, so some slight crackles. I used an off brand (Woodcraft) cherry nitro to get a Chet Atkins look. Think cherry table or dark oak. I wish I'd had some more copper and cream to do a Gretsch bamboo stylee.

1962 Gretsch Bass
New snaps in back and pad, new thumb rest, bone nut, knob, and pickup. This thing sounds like a tube amp Dante's third ring! Suddenly reluctant to sell it. But it takes major finger strength. I still have some superglue to drop on binding cracks, and reinstall the mute. For today I am calling it done. Still getting used to floating bridges.

1965 Fender Jaguar
You don't see this, uh--EVAR, until today. Coppertone nitro (50s Tele) refinished vintage body and neck with new guts. The only other vintage parts are the tuners. This comes with full brass armor and has zero interference hum. I haven't played much with it yet, but the bridge pickup is raunchy. Wasn't going to keep this one either. Should not have listened to it. The copper is much more earthy looking than most Fender colors. Understated, but with a slight shimmer or spraklez.

dgnr8's threads are one of my favorite things ever. i want to play that clipper. bonartown.

edit: holy shit I just saw how thin that body on the clipper is, it's like epiphone granada/gibson es-120t territory.

Winner! I will try to take some in better light. I think I need to get a different lens though. I have to stand back about four feet for it even to take a picture. Or I could read the manual.

The copper is very understated, but it grows on you. It's like wood tone, only sparkly. Any one of these are worth more details than I have time to write. That includes all the Jag parts I had to order after I thought I had everything several times. I even broke a 1MB pot trying to rewire it. The Clipper had a loose brace inside and I had to glue it by holding it through the F hole. The bass was completely in pieces. I had to glue the neck back on and put the frets back in! I also bought some replacement snaps at Michaels and learned to screw them into wood for the pad. It fits perfectly except for one snap. You can see it if you look. I think having it on will stretch it out.

Take a look at this little NUMBER. I shipped it to FRANCE during what ended up being a major STRIKE and it has not been seen since October 18th. I am just sick about it. It got stuck in Customs or some shit. Luckily it was insured, but that is not what I want to have happen.

Oh. I had two of these and I kept the beat up one that I fixed. This one was pristine in the case. Pris-TEEN. God has it now.
