Pickup configuration of cyclone is more jagstangy. Always wanted on of those as a beater.

That's what I was thinking . I'll be seeing them Friday . Most likely a black Squier Cyclone . Still a great guitar . $200. Others were a few Delvins . One was an Imposter , a bad ass cheapy . Kinda looks like a Reverend . But the cherry for me was a Burns Steer . To me they look like an ordinary acoustic possessed by Satan . Up my alley . Another was a blond Squier 51 ( like the one I just sold and miss already . ) .
Decisions decisions .

Gah... I'd love a burns steer. Literally love.

$200 seems pricey for a used squier cyclone, that's what they were new weren't they?

i'd probably only give $125 for one, especially a black one. were the squier ones 24.75" too?

Yeah, the other squier color was way better too. Metalic blue, better than the fender colors I thought.

probably a jagmaster. it's more likely that he got jagmaster/jagstang mixed up (jag+something) than he was actually contemplating the pickup configuration. if the difference between a jagmaster, cyclone and jagstang is not immediately visually apparent to you, I'm going to wager you probably don't know a whole lot about pickups either. also, jagmasters are far more common.

Yeah, they called it a blacktop jaguar.

Pretty much.
I'd take a Vista Jagmaster over a Blacktop Jag anyday though, I'm all over 7.25 radius and vintage strat bridge. It'd be like 3 of my guitars put together.

I'm contrary . I'm not crazy about the bridge on the Vista Jag . However the pickups in the Blacktop suck . I got a neck pup from a Blacktop in my Toro . Too muddy . It's coming out soon . When I rip it out I'll prolly give it away here . Sucks so bad I'd feel guilty selling it.
