Hey guys, I'm shocked
I really like Gibson and their guitars from the glorious past, but after
the Firebird X and the Nickelback Sig I thought it couldn't be worse....
BUT NOW THEY TOPPED EVERYTHING!!
The only positive part on this one is, that its limited on 300 pieces - but 300 pieces of this crap is 300 too much...

stripped body, new scratchplate - would be a nice guitar and no-one would ever know.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Initially I was gonna be positive about this, because at least it's more marketable than either of their last two blunders. I thought "Ok, it'll be $350 and some rich kids will have an awesome Christmas."
Nope. $1100 list, so probably $700 street.
The mind boggles.

First, without all of that sig shit on there, I would totally play the hell out of that guitar.
Second. I hate the Jonas Brothers as much as the next guy, but I would much rather my teenage kid listen to them (and they do play instruments... especially Gibson guitars) than any of the other pop/hip hop/R&B bullshit that is out there if they were going to listen to current "pop" music. At least they write some fo their stuff, actually play instruments, etc. Of course the hope would be that they grow out of the phase quickly.
ANyways, as far as sig model, it does not surprise me. At least these guys have been playing Gibsons for awhile....Unlike Nickelback, who basicly, along with Creed, cemented the PRS into MESA sucks rule of physics.....

Lets be honest, this for 750 ia a hell of a lot better deal than the Green Day sig Jr for 1200 or whatever it was.....
Totally do not mind the guitar if you removed the sigs...If it has realy Gibson playability, then 750 is not bad at all. That is the price the mexi fenders are going for these days (except the basic models..)

Damn ya'll are bunch of fucking HATERZ.
I actually know who The Jonas Bros. are because I have a younger sibling and they have played Gibson guitars pretty much from the start. They are one of the most high profile acts in America and Gibson is showing them a little love, ya'll dudes will hate on anything.

Hey, I was not hating...LOL. Not a fan myself but I give them props and already pointed out there association with Gibsons while ago.
Actually I think in the scheme of sig guitars this one is different, has a solid price point (at least in terms of Gibson guitars), and if it were not for the sig pics on it, would totally buy it.

I didn't mean you, you got it.

When they put out a Neil Young sig, then maybe I'll start respecting their integrity again.

It would do
better if it was made by Epiphone for half the price. LOL at $700 being "entry-level."
I wonder if people complained this much when Gretsch introduced the Monkees sig model:

The monkeys were fucking amazing. The may have been pre-fabbed, but they were great.

Here is the thing about sig guitars... It has become somewhat of a joke as half the people with sig guitars are not known for those guitars...Or at least were not when the music that they are famous for was made. Neil Young SHOULD have a black les paul with the p90 and a bigsby sig guitar. My guess is that they have offered and he has said no. No way that conversation has not taken place. That said, I, like Jcyphe, totally see why this makes sense. These guys sell alot of records, they tour quite a bit. They play their own instruments (and write songs), and they have been playing Gibsons since they got their first break. Making a somewhat affordable Gibson sig model for them makes much more sense that making alot of the other sigs out there. Yeah, the Page and Slash Les Pauls make sense because those guys are famous for playing those models (though page has played about everything...) same as a Tom Petty Rick makes sense. But alot of the stuff is just silly.
Honestly, a year from now, when these are on CL for 350 used, I will buy one and refin it. It is a cool guitar that I would consider buying in the 700 range if it were not for the JB markings.

That depends (and my guess is that is in the works like the Slash Epi Les Paul, etc). If this guitar has real Gibson workmanship in it, then 700 is not a bad deal at all. Again, much better than the Green Day Jr missing 1 pup and 500 more....
If it is a sloppy guitar more like the faded series then yes, it is going to be a waste.

The joan jet model is still cooler, second hand I'd still pick one of those up over these.

I will not argue that at all.

Which is what it appears to be. I can feel the sharp fret ends through that picture.

you may very well be right.... I would be interested to play one to see. Usually they are pretty good with sig models as far as fit and finish but they may be lazy with this one since it will appeal mainly to a group that may not know better.

Does it come with a free Promise Ring? If I was going to play that then I'd totally want to get my celibacy on, yo. Although, that guitar might not need to come with a free promise ring because it's unlikely any girl is going to hop on the dick of a guy sporting a Jonas Bros signature guitar, except maybe mentally retarded girls or children.
That's right, I'm saying only a paedophile would play this guitar.
Fuck you, Gibson. You can suck mah balls.

I play this every time I see one:

If fender made one, I'd buy a Pink Rhinestone Shakira Signature Mustang in a heartbeat.
