Zvex Machine

Post by wwrrss »

Anyone ever played with one?

Sounds like it could be good fun to have ahead of the ECT.

I've got one and I love it - the ZVex video is a bit misleading, mind. Does some lovely stuff though, and surprisingly good on its own.

the ProGuitarShop video is pretty good!

I'm gonna see if I / someone else can build a clone.

Shit hot! I might just follow your lead. Knowing Mike's already built one.

Yeah, I still have it. Its hard to part with, I would always wonder what it would do in any new gear configuration.
Also no one ever wants to pay that much for it... ha

If you get Mike to build you one, there's a useful modification to externalise the inner trimpot:

I use the ufo fuzz with the behringer super fuzz pushing it. and it sounds awesome. I'm not saying it sounds like the machine(never played one) but it's an example of two fuzz's working really well together.

I've wanted one of these for so long but just can't justify spending anything at the moment.

I've got a Made By Mike clone on the way, for less than half the price of a real one.

Mike may be expecting a message from me briefly then, also need to get some pedals fixed.
