Been looking at Fuzz Pedals (again) that dont go to mush on the low end or splutter on lead breaks. I already have half a dozen that all have different flavors and i've also tried dozens. I seem to find one that works for rhythm but not lead, or vice versa.

The Zvex Mastotron appears to sound great on demo's as does the SD Tweak Fuzz, anyone any experience with these? Or any other suggestions plz?

I have no direct experience of the Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz, but I've only read negative stuff about it. I'd avoid it. I'm sure one can get better fuzz for £100 budget than that.

Blackout effectors Twosome Fuzz? Musket fuzz (muff with eq knobs) and a fix'd fuzz in 1 box

My bassiest fuzzes have been/are:

• - Tonefactor Ultralord (like a controllable, silicon, bassy fuzz factory - have Mike make one)
  - Silicon Tonebender (you've played this)
  - timhulio Green Muff
  - Bazz Fuss (about three components and sounds ace - make one, you'l love it)

I'd Victor Kiam-style guarantee all four of these.

That super fuzz is great, if I wasn't such a boo-teek geek I'd be after one of those over the hyperion.

And for what it's worth, I reckon those Devi fuzzes above are the exact opposite of a bassy fuzz.

First 30 seconds sound awful bass heavy to me... there's like a 96.5% chance I have no idea what I'm talking about though.

Good thing is it retains some note clarity. I already have plenty of Fuzzes that dont.
That Musket Fuzz sounds ace, the FZ-3 i'd like to hear on lead but im under the impression the Behringer Superfuzz is a clone of this anyway.

That's the FZ2 it's a clone of, itself a superfuzz clone. And I must admit, that Devi is pretty bassy. I liked the Heroin Lifestyle she made too:

Fran, not going to throw more in to the mix but if you want me to send over my Fuzz pedals for you to have a play with I'm more than happy to do so. I think the MBM Tonebender MkIII is just the answer to most of the fuzz sounds in my mind. Let me know if you are up for it
