I want to install a 3 way switch in my japanese Jaguar HH special.
is it safe to assume i can just use the jazzmaster schematics for this?

...Maybe? 3-way you just wire up the hot lead from each pickup to one of the poles. then on the other side wire up a lead to volume. (This is from memory).
I picture it like a Y where each pickup goes to one pole on the top of the Y and the bottom pole goes to volume.
actually have a picture of the 3way in my guitar lemme see if i can upload it
might be difficult to read but photobucket resizes because photobucket sucks
3way is on the bottom left

That's my Jagmaster. I swapped out pickups and installed a push/pull which is why I took a picture of the stock wiring (in the event that I broke it I could always revert).
I've bought all my stuff online so far, Musican's Friend and GuitarFetish being the two primary sites. Other than Sam Ash I only know of one guitar shop but I've never visited it. I wish I had money to go GASing with but I don't

What you need is one of these?
That way you get the 3 way switch, keep the strangle switch and get teh Kurtz!!
If anyone knows where to get these, I want one.

pretty sure you can get the control plates easily enough.

Unfortunately the place I got mine is no longer selling them and only including them on Custom Guitar orders:

You might be able to trace the stock piece and get a metal shop to cut one out for you. Then you should be able to drill out the hole for the 3-way.

I finally got the switch plate and all the materials to get it to work... but how do I keep the low cut filter working??
everything I find has that switch out of that circuit, I cant find any diagram that has it included and it just isnt working out for me.
all I need to do is to add the 3 way to the lower bout.

I guess I just need to put the wire from the upper bout circuit on one side and the bridge pickup "hot" wire on the other side but how do I make that work out? where's the ground wire go? my guitar has ground points that are just eyelets held by screws in the guitar.
