Any one know about this? A guy on Kijiji (canadian form of Craigslist I assume) is selling one for 195...

I contacted him and he said deal to 190 hahaha 5 bucks off woo!

Anyone know about this guitar? Should I just run away? I love shitty looking old guitars.

Demo of the guitar I am considering (not exact guitar) but same model.

ALSO another demo of single coil version.

From what I can discern, Kent guitars are japanese made in the 60s. Were the japanese phenomenal at making guitars then too?

The bridge is a plastic floating style one, so you can't adjust intonation. There is no truss-rod. So not much set up can really be done can it?

One video suggests it plays well, the other suggests it better as a slide guitar... who knows.

I just dunno what to do.

I had a Polaris 1. Fun little guitar. Very trashy sounding. Not a particularly high quality instrument, but it has it's place. I paid $65 I think for it and traded it for some recording/mixing/mastering help.

no. with some exceptions of some of the harder to find models of the 60s (like the teisco spectrum) it's generally considered that that reputation was earned by guitars that were produced starting in the late 70s.
