that second song is ok, what with the fuzzy/sythy bass, and the drummer looks as if he's having a blast, but it's all pretty meh.
why is this in shortscales? is the OG malibu a shortscale?

go download their album. Perfect synthesis of synth pop and easy access pop. Fucking fantastic. The original recording of the first song is orgasmic.

sigh, their instruments are awesome but god I hate this band. They sound like long-form commercial jingles to me, just so bland and neutered. I imagine someone holding a bottle of Crest to the screen during the middle of one of these.
That being said, the mustang bass in clip 2 is sick.

yeah, I've never heard anything that interesting by them. they actually kind of remind me of a more benign clap your hands say yeah. and clap your hands say yeah weren't very good.
