Fender starcaster chorus pedal

Post by endsjustifymeans »

Quality sound, analogue, solid metal casing, true bypass, high/low boost/starve, and sweet ass yellow. Got it for $15 shipped from sam ash on black Friday, helluva deal for a real sleeper of a pedal. I think they used to sell these at target of all places.

I have one, it's great! (bought it from dots). Works for bass and guitar. Good tonez.

Is this new? I'm shocked by the price for an analog chorus. I have a Behringer CC300 which is ok, but you're stuck with only 4 chorus programs. There's no subtlety when using it with a guitar.

Best Buy is selling these for $8.

Just saw that they have a Starcaster Flanger, too, but I don't see it available for sale anywhere. I had no idea Fender made pedals besides the Blender.

it's a steal for $8. Hell it was a steal at $15, I can't believe how good this pedal is for the price. I have very little play time on a small clone, but from what I remember I honestly think this may be a better option.

Is the distortion pedal any good? I saw these at Sam Ash too.

reviews say the dirstortion and flange are fairly forgettable. The distortion is supposedly pretty metal oriented.

The chorus is apparently the star.

That's outrageous. How come we don't get these prices over here in the UK? [/grumble]

Well, I just tried to buy one, but Best Buy no longer carries it and their website hasn't been updated. I found this out when calling customer service because I wasn't able to pick a store for the ship-to-store option. Bummer. It's still available, but most retailers no longer carry it. Sam Ash has them for $20 with free shipping (not bad) and I might go that route. I've read mostly very positive reviews of it, even when it was going for $40.

Target was blowing them out for $8 a while ago, but I blew them off as throwaway crap. Wish I'd grabbed one then, not that $15 was a bad deal at all.

I got one of these today. Seems good, although I've never had a chorus pedal.
I got it for 8$ at Sam Ash when they price matched the best buy website. I didn't want to pay the shipping (i'm that cheap).

I also picked up a Danelectro Fish & Chips. One of them is popping. Not sure which one yet.

we lose money on stuff like all of the time mainly expecting people to buy cables with plenty of margin to make up for selling something under cost. Plus product costs money to keep in stock. My store "spends" around 15k a month just on displays, open items and clearance items being on the shelves.

I think you're able to combine them in different ways? I've always wanted to get one myself. it's a copy of the Boss DC-2 (long discontinued) which is a downsized version of the legendary Roland Dimension D rack unit chorus from the '70s.

anyway, I use this chorus I got off ebay for $15:

it's like a CE-3 or CS-9 style stereo chorus. really lush and full sounding, doesn't make your guitar go all tinny or anything. the enclosure is extremely heavy duty, feels like it's made out of cast iron.

Any nice US SS'ers able to buy one for me and send to the UK? I assume they won't post overseas. I'll obviously cover shipping, are they heavy?
