$600 for a Bronco?

No connection to guitar at all - I don't bond with red guitars - but I would think this is a good deal:

Looks all original except for the added pickup with the route - leave as is or get a new/old pickguard and you could restore it to its former look.

well it sure looks nice, somehow... but i'd say there's too many "buts":

- non-original tuners
- (VERY NICELY) done route for neck pup
- i doubt the bridge pup is original; look at those staggered pickup poles... might be from a strat
- non-original guard
etc.

i think $600 is a bit too much. but if you like it and would rock it as is, go ahead! :D

Slap on some black robroes and it's ready to go!
I would if I could. Oh yes.

Something looks weird about the neck to me. Didn't the decals on the broncos have gold around the Fender part? Plus that neck looks way too pristine... like it hasn't aged at all whatsoever. And he doesn't show the heel for a date stamp.

I think that one might. The pics aren't too bright and the headstock is in the shadow of the case's lid, so it would be really hard to see if it was gold-edged. I'm looking at my Jaguar right now and can't see the gold around the logo unless I hold it to the sunlight. The gold sort of blends with the wood under many lights, and it's metallic (sparkly) so it goes from very dark to very shiny based on your point-of-view.

The gold leafing appears to be there. It's very faint, though...

That neck is hella clean, though... Suspiciously so.

the neck does look incredibly clean but i think it is the original one. check the back of the headstock... you can see the (filled?) screw hole of the original high E tuner there.

weird.

I did notice that too. but since it does look suspiciously clean, my theory was that it was a neck off of a newer '65 mustang reissue which would have the F tuners.
