Hi Y'all,
If you fancy I'll have a go an any tech work you need doing for a decent price. I'm based in Southampton UK
I'm starting to take on more and more tech services for friends and aquaintences and, combined with my own shenanigans I've got good experience with the following:
Refinishing (nitro, non-nitro, blackboard paint. Sanding, grainfilling, sanding sealer, blah blah to a profesional standard). THIS JOB CAN BE A REAL BIND SO WILL NEVER SUPER CHEAP ESPECIALLY WITH NITRO! My OCD kicks in and I don't stop 'til its flawless and it's a lot of hours work...
Action set up - Can get even cheapo guitars playing fast and low as a snake's belly or simply whatever kind of action you want. Nut, bridge, truss and fret filing involved.
Fret polishing...also looking for more experience in fret leveling
Rosewood Fretboard conditioning using an especially good 'cork sniffers' recipe.
Replace pots, jacks and other parts
Replace or install pups, new bridges, new saddles etc etc
Replace and set up action on nuts
various custom jobs too.
I'll be honest I have no idea what to charge for these services but my impression is that it's an expensive game when done professionally so as I'm up for building up to that over time I'll keep it at the cheap but worth-my-while level so hit me up via PM with any ideas and I'll get a quote to you after checking any parts costs etc - I won't be offended if you say no!
Would prefer to be able to deal with people in person as I'm antsy about costs of postage etc but run it by me if you don't mind that.
Happy to trade services or new toys for my services!
Thanks
D
