TLDR version: " We can't get this frigg'in thing to work!"
"The revolution will have to wait just a bit longer, friends. The shipping of Firebird X has been delayed — for a very good reason. Once our R&D team truly delved into the seven microprocessors and three operating systems onboard this monster, they just couldn’t help themselves. Over the past few months, they’ve found even more ways to improve the guitar, with more features than we ever expected. And that got our Nashville division folks thinking about things like new finishing processes to give the guitar a radical new look to match the insane things going on inside this beast. The result is an even more innovative Firebird X than we presented to the press and fans just a few weeks ago.
So, Firebird X will hit stores just a little late — and we apologize for the inconvenience. But the end result will be an even better guitar than we had planned or dreamed."

I can't help but think that Gibson is now to guitars what Roland has become to synths---keytars and wacky MIDI accordions.

it's just probably an excuse for a.) the fact that everyone thinks they look like shit, and b.) the goofy electronics probably just don't work all that well/fall apart

Honestly I cannot believe anyone on here or almost any forum gives 2 shits about this turd.....
A) its ugo
B) super expensive
C) completely unessecary
The chances of this being the next great thing is about as likely as me becoming the next Rock God 'ala' Hendrix....just not happening....
not many will sell and most of us will never see one in person...... I mean didn't this happen a couple yrs ago with the last big thing in guitars...The Robot Gibby's.....do they even make those any more?
I love Gibson but seriously pull your head out of your asses..... and use your R&D to figure out how to make your guitars better and more affordable....PERIOD
I mean it seems like Fender got the hint when their Roland Ready strat did not make the grade..... or did not sell.....
and God help us all cuz I bet 4 of the 7 processors are aimed at Nu Metal Mesa tones... sarcasim implied
OK, My rant is done....

Seven microprocessors. Most of the time I don't even plug my 53-year-old electric in to play.

Translation: "We accidentally got chocolate fingerprints all over them."

Why can't their idea of "revolution" be desinging a fucking angled headstock that won't snap off?
