What instrument cables do u all use?... I have been running the same Monster Cable 500 series ones for 4 yrs and decided to get new ones today... Got a killer deal on Bullet Cables..they blow the Monsters away....granted the Monsters are old but still work perfectly... I am a Bullet Cable believer for now....granted they do not crap out..
I got 2 of these in 12ft for $25 + Tax.... so basically buy one get one free... not a skull fan but it was a killer deal and they are kinda cool...

I have a beat up Omega that I got years ago. It's getting near finished, though.
I think I'm gonna replace it with one of these Lifelines that uses an XLR microphone cable:

It prevents ground loops and, supposedly, is much less noisy.

Fender Vintage Voltage in tweed. I think it's the 18 footer.

i've always been pleased with planet waves, but others haven't had as much luck sometimes.

I got 2 planet waves 20 footers....one is a circuit breaker cable and is shit...the ends are beyond heavy and the breaker button does not work 25% of the time and it refuses to coil up in a suitable fashion without a multitude of swearing....the other is custom studio pro with shielded ends and gold tips...This one seems solid but is being used on my footswitch.....
I got them both free... the buy a D'addario string 10 pack get a free cable deal...so for the price they were right

I have a Whirlwind cable and 2 x Planet Waves cables - not the cheap classic ones and not the circuit breaker ones but the ones in between the 2. The Whirlwind goes from pedals to amp and one of the Planet Waves goes from guitar to pedals, the other is a spare. I've never had issues with any of them, and i've been using for a year or 2 now - so i've no reason to try anything else.

I got a couple of cables made up by HotRox recently which I really like.

I did some 3m ones in White with some Neutrik jacks and I've been really impressed with them. Going to keep them for testing pedals/practise at home and get some longer ones for band use.

Were those the gold ones? I've recently switched to using the Monster Rock for guitar>board and two Monster Keyboard cables [little thicker, less highs] for my stereo leads from board>both amps
Since you've recently switched from then I was wondering how they've held up after five years of use. If they really do last that long I'll make the switch to their Studio 1000i cables just because i can get them through work for cheapppp

Guitar to pedals I use one of these:
And pedals to amp, one of these:
Both 12ft and sound good to my ears, a definite improvement over my old cheapy ones.

I've used bullet cables but they're gritty sounding... no longer a fan.
I use my elixir between pedal and guitar. They really clean & brighten up your sound, I did a few comparisons myself and it is true.
Dimarzio between amp and pedal... don't know what this does but it's reliable as hell and I've had it for about 12 years.

I use Cordial cables with Neutrik jacks. Proline from pedals to amp and a Top Performance one with silent jack from pedals/amp to guitar.

The
500's are the ones right below the rock ones, 4-5 yrs strong, but granted I do not gig..... they still work fine....the Bullets are just quiter and less gritty and a hellva lot easier to manage....way more flexible...
I always wanted the monster rock ones but i'm cheap..... the monsters I have still work, the only reason I got the bullets is cuz I got both for $25

So, is it safe to say that you're going to spend around $20 for any decent 6-10 ft. cable at the minimum (aside from the skull cables)? I looked at the Fender Vintage Voltage series and read that several people had them crap out on them after a year or so, but have read good things about the DiMarzio Instrument Cable, which starts out at $20.

Good to know. I'm not playing anywhere but in the spare room in my apartment, so I don't even really need 10 ft. cables. I think I'm just used to paying for cheap cables with synths. I guess I'll go for the DiMarzios.

After I get the pedal board built I'll be buying bulk cable to make patches from. I may as well make good cables at the same time.
I'm going for Sommer The Spirit XXL and Neutrik jacks. I don't know if this will sound awesome or not, but I want to never have to worry about cables again.
