More P-Rails fun WITH AN DEMO

just typed out a long winded detailed paragraph about what I did and what complications I ran into, but Opera freaked out and rebooted, so add that to the list.

These damn pickups have caused me more trouble and confusion than any other guitar modification, pedals included! Ripped the bridge pickup out of Sadie and dropped it into my Jaguar. Due to prior modifications to fit Jaguar pickups in a normally humbucker routed guitar, I had to drill out holes where Jaguar pickups mount and where the humbuckers mounting screws need to hang free. The pickguard was barbarically routed out with my drill press and a box knife, its rough around the edges but its hidden by the pickup ring.

On with it!

So what do the two switches do now? Did you have to drill out the first slot to get the Gibson switch in? I don't think I would have had the heart to put in the hum bucker but I give you props for being adventurous.

The switches do the same as the did in the tele since they are both dpdt.

Down/down - humbucking in series
Up/down - rail
Down/up - p90
Up/up - humbucking in parallel

The top switch was drilled out for the 3-way, having a press really helped! Everyone should have one.

+1. I like how you used the existing switches to make it work

Did an Kensrue! Awesome. Do the jag switches get in the way of the three way at all?

Its a tight fit in there but it all fits. Top side the 3 way sticks up far enough sand nothing is in its way. When the toggle is towards the bridge its a tad hard to get to the top toggle but its not unmanageable. The switch travels neck > bridge like a Jazzmaster due to the routing which I actually prefer, harder to hit on accident. Its set up so that if I ever wanted to I can wire in another P-Rail in the neck later.
This was a slight nudge:

I can definitely say that I'm excited to hear their new album this Spring, supposedly using these Jaguar's and P-Rails exclusively.

Definitely not as classy but fuck it, the sounds there!

I really like it, I'm going to copy it, and I'm listening to Identity Crisis. Utility cutting implements are MORE classy than the alternatives, not less. Well done.

I forgot just how good Identity Crisis is as an album. I'd usually just play tracks one and five then move on, but duuude...

That one didn't make the move over to the new computer, just downloaded and will have another listen during work today. I remember it being SUPER compressed and somewhat poorly recorded but it was a earlier album. Things are sounding guuuud now.

Recording-quality-wise it sounds like utter shit. I like it, though.

I think I sent that white switch tip to a shortscaller so I'll bust out a rattle can at some point and maybe do the switches/roller pots too, WHO KNOWS!

I love the random mustache floatin in mid air while you were playing. LOL

Great demo. One day I want to get that guitar and put different pickups in it as well. Either WRHB or AVRI Jag pups.

P-Rails are interesting for sure, though I am still on the fence about them.
