Ah, yes. This isn't quite the point at which they went out of business last time, but it's not far off.

Personally, I sort of like them. A bit daft, but still based on an old design (allegedly?). Then again, I liked the dying days of the last batch of Dano reissues like the Mod 6 & 7 for example.

Srsly though, their current business model of just releasing a few models every few months for limited runs must be paying off in spades for them to be taking risks like this.

Also: a return to the wooden-saddled bridge? Interesting. Squier must have ordered a huge amount of the properly intonatable bridges for their Jaguar and Jazzmaster models

They look like a drunk girl. I say that because I seem to remember a picture of my ex girlfriend being drunk and waving her arms in a manner like the horns on that guitar are shaped for some reason.

I've been noticing that as well. I prefer it - it's getting back to the Dano sound. The metal bridges made them sound too strat-like.

So Danelectro(in Neptune) actually made at least one "Ellipsis"?

that baritone could be fun. I like the shapes alot. Any ideas what the bodies are made from? Are they similar to some of their recent releases?

I think I like it. Dunno if I prefer it over the 59s or 63s though.

To me it looks more they wanted to do something new and took an existing conservative shape and added wacky horns. Whether that happened in the 60s or last month doesn't really matter. It still looks rubbish.

Does anyone here have a copy of "Guitars From Neptune" or "Neptune Bound" ? I was just wondering if there
was a photo of the original "Ellipsis" in either of those books?

Oohh,dig that "throbbing vibrato"...man that's crazy!
