I have been noticing a lot of Japanese Mustangs on eBay lately and noticed a part number I have never seen before

NEW Fender Japan `69 Mustang BECK MANGA Signature MG69
FENDER JAPAN Mustang MG69-77/CO Fiesta Red (316552105)

what does the MG69 and MG69-77 mean? I have never seen a Mustang with a part number like that before.

MG69 just is what we call a 69RI in america.

they also make MG65 which is the current model 65RI mustang in the states.

MG69CO stands for 69 Compstang.

i have no idea what 77 means. this ebay guy might just be a dumbass ?

MG stands for MustanG

along the same lines, the import jaguars with blocks and binding are called JG66
