OH MAH GAWD
HALP DO WANT FAVOURITE GUTIAR
He is willing to trade for my 90s classic series Mustang.
He says the guitar is 09 MG73, as far as I know these never came to the US-market right? So it must be a imported guitar.
Also it has AVRI Jag pickups, and new pots blahblahblah the wiring has been changed as well, no longer out of series options but that is easily reversible.
Do you think a MG73 is worth trading for the 90s Mustang... I kind of love orange.
He just informed me this is how he got the guitar:
Ebay Seller
Seems kinda decent, to get this guitar would cost me 1200 new, so it is abit new and I can trade it for a guitar I payed 500 for...

Not for a reissue. I have seen refinished modded vintage mustangs go for that price.

He said he would accept trades on my Classic Series Mustang... or the 69 Reissue, I don't really know what my own mustang is.

No. I sold a 65 refin in orange with updated hardware for £550 last year.
I dont understand why he wants to trade you for one of your Mustangs.. is it a color issue with him?

but 550 pounds is around 900 dollars Canadian...
But you see here, he is willing to trade my mustang I paid 500 Canadian (300 pounds) for this guitar, which can't be had new for under 1200 Canadian due to import and shipping and whatnot. I feel like it is worth it, maybe, I just wonder how MG73s are...

Go and look at Pat's thread in the Classifieds, then decide for yourself if this is a good price...

Setting your standard to a 1000 dollars for a reissue mustang is absurd when
this
http://cgi.ebay.com/Fender-Vintage-1966 ... 336411427b
is less than a 100 more than clearly that 1000 dollar reissue is absurdly priced.

OK LETS REWORD THIS.
Is it worth it, that I am getting a mustang in my favourite finish, that is pretty new, 2 years old. Trading it for my 18 year old Mustang that I paid 500 for... Does that make sense? Still doesn't seem fair? I just want that colour why am I so tempted?

Without seeing your guitar to determine its value. I dont think anyone can say if a trade is worth it.
Without the specifics on your guitar including its condition, its only really possible to judge the fairness of the cash price.
I suppose even a trade that might be unfair to an outsider would be fair to the parties involved if they didnt seem bothered by it.

I can't resist, I think I'm gonna go for it... Plus if I don't get on with the AVRI Jag pickups I can sell them to someone here for 80 bucks and Put in some Mustang RI pickups woo!

I wouldn't plan on selling those pickups for $80.
You can buy a set of Jag pickups new for that.

Yep, just checked that is the price, so I'd prob sell for 45 or something, but I am getting ahead of myself I have heard nothing but good things about them.

It would look so awesome if it was orange with matching headstock.

It would, but I think the comp orange is only comp colour I like without a matching headstock, the maple head works with it.
