"new" Vox teardrop guitars

Post by lorez »

I keep seeing these VOX Teardrop guitars that say they are new and made from original parts. Does anyone know anything about them?

Wow! Made from original parts (link)

"Italian made Vox Teardrop custom guitar...BRAND NEW...custom made from matured, original unused parts.

This is an example of a limited supply of old Vox guitars that have only recently been assembled from stock that has been stored, slowly maturing for many years. What you get is a vintage guitar BRAND NEW!!! with modern Italian pickups added resulting in a classic vintage sounding, new and highly unusual guitar. Apart from modern machine heads and the Italian pickups, this is an old original vintage VOX classic offered at a price of a chinese copy!!"

A guitar I've always wanted to like, but they are tiny; like George Formby-tiny. I'd prefer a Phantom, but they're diddy too. I think Alden makes Vox knock-offs - there's one in my local shop.
