Hey guys, can anyone identify this guitar brand?
This guitar has a strat kinda body and pickups, a tele-style 3-saddle bridge, and kind of a Fernandes/Schecter-looking headstock... I just can't read that brand name to be anything I'm familiar with:
It kind of looks like it says "Simile" or "Stable".
Yes that's Tim Armstrong, just trying to put some solid information out to the interwebz, go figure.
80's superstrat guitar brand ID?

That's a Harmony Strat copy. The cramped pickups and neckplate seals it for me, though you can also make out the holes on either side of the bridge from the invariably-removed cover. They were forced to change the CBS stocks on them in '85, maybe that's the other headstock shape OR it could've just been sold under a few different brands/head shapes as with many guitars of such a nature.
I wouldn't rely of what you can see of a headstock logo as it's possible that's been gone over/stickered like the rest of the guitar... looks a bit less-than-uniform for a logo, and almost like it says "senile", who knows though.
I think he painted the body and headstock face black, as I've never seen these in black, just sunburst. DO see them with black pickguards all the time though.

I was also going to say not really a "superstrat", no locking doo-dads or hawt 'tronics.

Just for reference the name on the headstock that Paul posted says "Global" on it, and was apparently made by Sears?
