Check out the blems on Guitar Fetish! Some nice looking LP Jrs and Specials. There's also a surf green telemaster.

I find those a hard sell when you can get an Epiphone for a hundred bucks. Granted these GFS guitars are generally great quality/money I think people will go for the name brand even if its a piece of shit.

GFS guitars generally needs to be upgraded, some of the pickups installed are muddy as hell, played one in a shop. the build quality is ok, generally i found Epiphone LP Jr are much better :)

I would take the GFS guitar over the Epiphone, the Epi has a shitty bolt-on neck.

Damn!, I just finished my GFS p90 project last night... I would have bought the Special version in a heart beat... I do not know about the soapbar P90s but their Mean 90's are solid pu's......

You bought a GFS?

Which one?

I'm thinking of waiting til the P90 Sg comes out...

DO WANT.

I also hate the finishes of the SGs and the LPs... UGLAY!

(most) epiphones have bolt on necks, and none have this slick ass contour.

I bought that white Epi SG off Willie and put in Mean 90's, I got it all together last night, I am sitting at work now grinding my teeth to get home and set it up and propperly jam..... I will prolly do a project post when I get time, I took a decent amount of picks in the process

most Epi's I have seen are set neck, only the SG Special G310 and LP-100 are bolt on and obviously anything cheaper than that..... but if your buying new to new do the GFS axe..... for a set neck Epi ur spending at least $300 new and ur right, the contour is spiffy..plus I bet the GFS pick-ups are better.... the Epi Jr is crap and does not even have a P90....the whole point for me is the P90s

I'd have loved one of those if I didn't live on the wrong continent.

most you've seen are set-neck? that's crazy. the only set neck on i've ever seen for sale i bought. i'm not even certain they make them any longer.

If I may: SGJarrod thinks hotrod is saying ALL Epiphone guitars are bolt-on. Hotrod just means the Juniors.

Epiphone do indeed generally do bolt-ons for the Junior models, including the regular Junior (the $100 one with the humbucker) the older G-310 Junior (SG Junior) and a limited edition DC Junior. They have done setneck juniors but they were limited edition (elitist '57 and others?)

The GFS guitars are closer to what people like in a Junior than what Epiphone currently offer, setneck and a p90. The Epiphone Juniors are shit. They're an LP Special II with only one pickup and no switch, they just stuck a mildly juniory pickguard on there to FOOL you. And the GFS is certainly a better deal than you'll ever get on an equivalent Epiphone. Most Chinese Epiphones worth having are overpriced brand new, and anything under $300 from them is usually pretty dire.

aye. i just meant the juniors as i thought that's what we were talking about.

most epiphone juniors are bolt on, and i'm pretty sure they don't make them setneck anymore.

here's my 52RI that i had for a stint:

p100 = crap

Yo Hotrod, that's the one I almost bought yeah?

These are really neat looking, plus I dig the set neck. I didn't even notice the contour until it was pointed out. Still, if I had to choose any Xavier guitar, it'd be the "surf green" telemaster. Love the look on that one.

yeah, that telemaster is luscious.

that's the one i sold to sloan for $90 cuz the headstock had been repaired. nice guitar, shitty pickup.

That junior looks great. I feel like more set-neck juniors are coming from Epiphone.
