WD pickguards don't fit CIJ?

it's what i'm seeing here.
i got this pickguard from
terminal veritgo, and it has either been reshaped, or simply never would have fit.
ghey.

also, this is apparently the first time i've removed the pickguard. to my astonishment, it had been chiseled/gouged/routed for a middle single coil.

Well I have tried MIM Jag plates on my MIJ - the edges are differently shaped to the MIJ ones and they don't play nice with the MIJ pickguard. So if the WD guard is made to fit AVRI / MIMs it's unlikely to work with a CIJ.
