Every tele has begun to look exactly the same to me. I can't tell if that's a Chinese no-name capitalizing on the relic trend or a handmade $4k TGP jizz target.

Haha, yeah but most chinese teles don't have steel hollow bodys and koa necks.

These guitars are going for about $4000 on ebay and other places. What does this person want to trade?

My 365, he wants to give me the Trussart + cash for the Rick or he will give me $2298 cash for the Rick.

The local shop in Milwaukee had brand new Trussarts for like $1600. A little less elaborate, but not appreciably. I'd guesstimate those occupy a rather fragile resale market, as do most high-dollar new electrics. I wouldn't bank on much more than $2k in its resale.

I'd hold for a better offer on the Ric - seems like that should be worth much more.

Don't bother. Take the cash instead.
Ugly gimmick guitar.

It might be the amp and dirt pedal in that video, but that had an awful squealing.

These guitars are over £2000 sterling, I played one a while ago and it was the best guitar I have ever played without a doubt, I'd recommend you playing it and seeing what you think, although they are gimmicky they are fantastic guitars.

That one looks like it was made using the chair next to it. I like the idea, but am unconvinced. Billy Gibbons has one--of everything. That Ric is sweet but so are crisp American dollars.
The Trussart Steelcaster tone is a uniquely annunciated sound that, combined with the resonant qualities of the hollow steel body can range from sweet, crystal clear tones to aggressive screaming lead tones. The construction of these instruments is only half of the story, the other half is the finish, every instrument comes with a history and a slight element of neglect, of decay, so it has a personality of it’s own.

I think he meant the Trussart. It did make me wonder when I saw the pic, whether it had been "distressed", as they say in the antiques trade.
