do an m13?

So tax return is in, time to do some damage...

I need a few effects for my new band, namely tremolo, reverb, and octave up/down. I also need a good looper for songwriting when I'm at home. I ca get an m13 for right around 350 via work and I figure if I need a lot of effects and a solid looper, why not go the m13 route and have a hundred other extra effects as opposed to spending $100 each for the 3-4 I'm after.

I've damn near sold myself on one, just checing to see if anyone else has a say before I pull for one tomorrow.

Ill still be using my analog dirt pedals and likely my Nova Delay for my main delays. If I do my board will probably be volume>tuner>ect>honeybee>m13>nova delay in m13 loop
How say you, shortscale?

no idea if you're for serious or joking. either way, will do.
so I bought one... only spent an hour tonight tinkering, but I can retool it is going to take a LOT of tinkering. Like way a lot. I couldn't find a decent low gain od but I planned on that. Also found out that I hate compressors.
A lot of the filter effects seem gimmicky but there's some keepers. Its version 2.1 so I think I need to update it.

I consider compressors to have two primary uses, the meedly meedlies and the jingle jangles. I like them for the latter function. they balance out the strings so you can hear more of the high strings. this makes chords more bright and chimey.

Sort of keeps up with my Honeybee, can cop Eau Claire Thunder tones but doesn't get the same magic. New board tonight

first go at it. I'm feeling the nova can go and I need to keep the pitchblack on board. So tuner, od, ect, m13 is probably what I'll go with tomorrow.

Going to do any recording with the Musicmaster or CV Tele? The Jag looks really cool though I still want to steal it and put WRHB in it.

My recording thread/blog thing on the recording forum had a link to a rough song that I used the cv tele on. Loves fuzz :D

The musicmaster will have plenty of clean parts for recording, and a few overdriven/tone rolled off sounds. I'm still learning their songs they have so far and putting my own style/sound/stink into them.
