What awesome looking guitar is this?

Post by taylornutt »

I saw this video of the The Chameleons on my YouTube home page and I am trying to figure out what guitar the guy on the left is playing. It looks like a Super-Sonic/ lefty Toronado with Jazzmaster pickups and a Cock-stock strat neck. Looks and sounds cool. Makes me think of a Fender version of a Gibson Firebird. Really cool.

I've no idea, but it does look pretty cool.

Not too unlike me playing my lefty Vista Jag.

I saw the headstock and went 'ooooh', but then I scrolled down and it turned into 'oooouuurrhmm...'

* I should probably point out that it was a dissapointed noise.

You think THAT'S ugly? Look at this microfrets Orbiter. It's so ugly it's beautiful. Living proof that not all amateurs can design a pretty guitar. As a matter of fact, Leo and Freddy were the exception to this rule.

Hrmm, dang. Looked good in the glimpses in the vid... not so hot here. It's the round body; it looked asymmetrical in the video. Looks terrible symmetrical like that.

Yeah, if the bottom half of the body was re-shaped it could look killer.

Dave's looks a bit cooler due to the colors i think. When i was younger i thought he'd built it himself..
