New jag day

I picked this up last weekend, i had my eye on it for a while.

i ended up selling my mim tele deluxe i had that i posted about with the crack in the body where the neck screws were, and it pretty much funded the jag, so i was happy.

it has a buzzstop already on it so i think i might just leave it on and the guard has been changed to a white one which i like better than the shell.
i just put a set of 11-50's on it and i love this thing.

I have had a couple of jags before both in Candy apple and CIJ, i liked them but never really bonded with them but this one is another story.

the first 2 i had i changed the pickups in the first one to some dimarzio virtual vinatge heavy blues, and the second to a set of hot rails with coil taps, and they sounded great but just didnt feel right.

this one just feels so comfy to play, the only thing is i dont like the bridge pickup at all, i dont mind the neck.
so im not sure what im goin to change it with as im still deciding.

serial number starts with Q and crafted in japan so its either 2002/03 or 04

heres some pics

Looks great !! I too also have Q Series... allegedly these are meant to be of better quality for reasons I can't remember.

Real sweet. I would put a mint guard on though personally ((hide))

There was a vintage sunburst Jaguar with a white pickguard hanging up in my local shop when I was a teenager, I always loved the way it looked. Nice one.

yeh my other 2 jags were from 2009/2011 and this one definetly feels better than those did, the necks alot nicer and pickguard seems to be cut better.

nah like thom said their not ,its a pitty they dont make the routes like a strat shape or a bit wider so you can put strat pickups in there without having to widen it, i actually havent taken the guard off as it has been replaced.
You never know someone may have routed it out for humbuckers or something :) hehe ill have the check that out
