Nice colours. Don't understand this guitar at all shape wise.....Just looks lumpy and wrong without even a quirky charm to get by on.

Noice!
Aye, I seems Gibson can still speak the people's language. A hearty golf clap is in order, though I don't exactly have $3000 to blow at the moment.

Non-reverse is wrong for me. Looks backwards

More Firebirds and non-reverse.
They're putting them out in lots of different colors and pickup combos.

The non-reverse Firebird was the bullshit replacement for the original Firebird after a lawsuit from Fender when they noticed the Firebird shape was pretty damn similar to a flipped Jazzmaster, I think that's what "non-reverse" cheekily refers to. I've always disliked them looks-wise, love the real Firebirds and Thunderbird basses. Those were meant to capture some Fender vibe in the first place (they even got a classic automobile man, Packard designer Ray Dietrich, to come up with them) so they were designed with a bit of that pastel/metallic custom colour charm in mind.

I like both styles. Warren Haynes from Gov't Mule uses both shapes to great extent.
