So I'm a fan of short scale guitars, but I don't play Fenders. Here are some of my short-scale guitars. Hope some of you enjoy them.
1963 Gibson ES350TDN....this one's a little flamey
1967 Gibson ES175 Special. This is a one off, with a 23.5" scale. Its sort of like a Byrdland meets an ES175. Yes. Its a short scale.
This is my favorite guitar. Its a 1957 Byrdland N. I love this guitar.

Holy smoke. I think we can make this the exception to Fran's mooted "No Gibson Threads"-ruling: lovely stuff. That Byrdland in particular is a thing of beauty. Welcome to the forum.

Seriously though, that is a damn fine collection.

Most in the Gibson camp don't like the short scale of a Byrdland. That's WHY I love a Byrdland. I was hoping to find a home here. Thanks for the welcome.

Hah. Well...none of my Bigsby'd guitars are short-scale. I have a '56 B6 that I'm tempted to slap on the Byrdland...I wouldn't have to drill any holes. I just don't like messing with a good thing.

Thanks guys. The Byrdland really is a pretty special guitar. I'd love a solidbody with a similar scale length, but just can't get my sound out of a Jaguar or Mustang. I have a Jazzmaster I love, but as you know...its a different thing. Maybe a Jaguar with JM pickups? hmmmm
