I'm doing a bunch of work on this thing now. refinishing it in fiesta red nitro. and I might be doing a couple pickup swaps slightly influenced by this....
...progress so far:
► Show Spoiler
filling bigsby holes
sanded, routed
sealed, primed
ehh... not so proud of that neck pickup route.

nah, when I got it, it was that yellow color. the other guys who had it before me liked it I guess, I thought it looked awful. looked like it had been painted with a brush, and with like yellow artists paint.

so I was thinking something like theeessss......
but I decided fuck that noise, I'm going with something more this styley
except I'm doing an open cream bucker in the bridge and a cream duo sonic pickup in the neck.
I know you guys are all doubting me/cursing me now, but trust me it will look ill. you'll see.

I gots da pickup.
hey guys, will this give me teh bl00z t0nez? yeah, I know stupid name but it is essentially a P90 voiced humbucker. it's actually a really far out design, only one of the coils is "hot" as they describe it so it somehow works more like a single coil than a humbucker. but it is fully hum canceling just like a real humbucker. huh. go figure.

i think this will turn out neat, as long as it's not all relic'd to hell, haha.
that pick up sounds pretty interesting.

at first I was thinking of relicing it just to match the rest of the strummer hardware but now I think I will just leave it and let it wear as it would normally. also I attempted to clean up and un-relic the rest of the parts as much as possible. I'll post later with some before and after pics of that.

I think that neck with an unrelic'd body would be weird.
the neck on that guitar is delicious.
