Trem plate placement and TOM wrote:Classic Player.
Ask him how he knows it's AVRI.
I'm gonna go ahead and bet it won't be because it says "Made in Mexico" on the headstock...
$700 is too much for a used CP Jag. Especially with that nasty teh kurdtz cymbal gash.

im pretty sure in the last photo, i can see what are probly words on the back of the headstock. made in mexico and serial number?
also the tailpiece looks like its closer to the bridge like a Classic player.
but i could also be wrong!

I bought my AVRI Jaguar for $700 off Guitar Center's used website. You can tell it's AVRI because it doesn't have "Made in" or "Crafted in" anywhere on the neck and it should be a tinted nitro finished neck.
The neck looks the right color, but the bridge looks like tunenomatic. I hate bad picks on CL!!! Ask for better pics if possible.

Where is the "Made in USA" decal on an AVRI?
The pictures really aren't good enough. The trem looks like it's in the CP position rather than the AVRI position, but that could just be because of the crappy camera angle.

There isn't one! The AVRIs are the only one that doesn't have that on them. That's how you know it's an AVRI. The person selling this may not know the difference between a CP Jag and AVRI Jag, though they did a nice job copying and pasting the AVRI stats from the website. Without better pics its hard to know for sure.

just look at the top pic, the trem is too close to the pg to be a AVRI.
also, there is clearly writing on the back of the headstock. can't read it but you don't need to, to know that it isn't an AVRI.

and the bridge is not stock. That's a CP Jaguar that someone either willfully or ignorantly is passing as a AVRI.
