You'd probably have to drill holes, and you'd probably have the holes for the mustang pickguard showing because I think it looks like the bronco pickguard curves in where the mustang pickguard curves out.

yeah it does. and the screw right by the pickup wont have anything to go into because it will be over the switch cavity. and only a few of the screws line up at all.

Home made Mustang body with genuine Bronco pickguard plonked on.

It covers all the cavities, which is good. You might need to re-route the bridge pickup area
I presume you didn't know the base of the Bronco bridge is a different shape to the mustang.
Mustang and Bronco pickguards both lined up with the neck pocket.
Looks like you would get a gap near the trem and 3 exposed screw holes.

huh, the bronco pickup is farther away from the bridge than the mustang.... interesting. bet that sounds a little fuller and not as weak.

yeah maybe, maybe not. I can tell the difference between the mustang bridge pickup and the strat bridge pickup though (this seems like the same difference). might have to do with the pickups though, I dunno.

I put Strat pickups in both my Mustangs I've owned and they never really sounded like Strats to me.

I think fender probably put strat pickups in their mustangs, too.

That's interesting... seems like it's possible. do ANY of the holes line up?

Looking at my pickguards, the short answer is no.
Some of the screws almost line up (like about 3mm off).
Though I would be suprised if you found another mustang pickguard with holes in the same place.
