serious noob question RE. Musikding kit

Post by Benmurray85 »

yep im seriously thick and need to ask help guys

im deep into buidling myself the "der screamer" and pretty much seem to have finished populating the PCB but then i checked back to the diagram and saw this

http://www.musikding.de/popup_image.php ... 18/imgID/1

im talking about the grey wire(?) about 1cm long above the black 3 pinned box above where it says q2?

in the kit theres just 2 holes where it starts and finishes and no extra parts to stick there?

is it something i should be doing?
how do i do it?
is it just irrelevant?

as you can probably tell from such terms as "black box" and "grey wire" used above i am a SERIOUS beginner on these matters and im relying solely on your help here guys so please keep all answers as jargon free as you can manage. im dieing to get this going now!

cheers

It's just a connection, cut some wire and solder it there like it was a resistor or something

^^^ this

the reason it looks grey is cuz they used a peice of a resistor or cap lead that they had previously snipped off
