POG thingy.

I should have taken pictures. I might do it tomorrow. But I decided to take the back off my POG and see if there was any chance of fixing the LED myself. When I first bought it it worked, flickered a little bit, then died forever. That must have been three years ago now. It's not like it's that important, but the LED workings were hidden behind the big circuit board so I decided to leave it. As I was about the put the base of the pedal back on I noticed a little metal tag that was screwed into the inside of the baseplate with two holes on it. It seemed to rest just over the footswitch when the baseplate was screwed back on and my brother thought it looked like some sort of earthing tag or something, but it had evidently never had anything soldered to it and didn't make contact with anything when the plate was bolted on.

So what the hell is it?

its a ground, EHX has been using these grounding springs for awhile now

Edit: on a 2nd read it might be something else but if I was a betting man I would bet on a ground

also to get the board out u will have to...

1) remove knobs
2) take nuts off all jacks pots and switches
3) gently remove the guts

it sounds like the LED is bad or is not connected well and just needs re-soldered

put a blue one in for the health benefits

Hah! I think I'm just going to live with it, as I've done now for a few years. It's not like it's hard to tell it's on. At all.

One of the base screws goes through the hole- it's to ground the enclosure.
