All pretty cool, but none particularly interesting.
The P-bass is very nice, but it's still a Sig model.

I thought it was just the black/tort version.
But google brings up black on black so perhaps not so new.

Lame. I was really hoping for a sonic blue 60's CV Strat.

Jag bass has three nobs. Aren't there two new jag basses coming out? a humbucker one and an actice EQ one?
I like the butterscotch blond 50's P bass.

Unbelievable. I really didn't see any of those coming.

After some research I've found out whats so special about that jag bass. you'll never guess but its actually shortscale!! All other Squier jags have been 34'', check the 30''!

AGAIN Squier amazes me. and Fender disappoints me.
I will buy this bass when my girlfriend takes my Musicmaster to England.
WOOO! Actually I can't believe fender has never made a shortscale Jaguar bass, squier did it first. I am buying one, I hope they sell like hot fire and make Fender/Squier realize they need to make more Shorties

The standard scale and active circuit are my only complaints about the Fender Jaguar bass.
I wouldn't mind getting two of these

One for a shortscale 4 stringer, and the other to convert to a VI

Of course, I'm kinda poor, so I won't get one at all, unfortunately.

no joke. Right now, I'm leaning towards Squier over all the Fenders I've played.

The fact that they put out a Matt Freeman sig bass shows that they pay attention to internet forums. Tons of people over at talkbass have been saying for a long time that they wish Fender/squier would put out a sig model for him, about half of the threads about Mark Hoppus basses over there end up with arguements about why he got a sig model over matt freeman.
But at the end of the day it's just another p bass, I would be surprised if it's any different at all from the other VM or CV p basses.

I think the matt freeman sig looks really cool actually. too bad for them I already have an old matsumoku p-bass exactly like it.

Yea don't get me wrong. I love a black on black with maple fretboard p bass, very classic and awesome look, but I just don't see what differentiates it from the rest of the squier p basses other than the color and the finger rest.

I wish they'd hurry up and make the 60's CV tele in any other colour except sunburst (even CAR would do) so I can buy one.
