New stuff day

Post by Peter Bond »

I got my first proper wage from my new job (which involves looking at a lot of old people's shit) recently so I decided to treat myself to these.

A vox AC4TV and a Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz. My first vox and first fuzz. Havent really much time to play around with the but I'm really loving the tones so far. The vox has the output level switch where you can flick it between 4W, 1W and 1/4W so you can get it to break up at lower volumes which, for me, is useful as I dont live alone and dont really want anyone to hear my shitty playing. The fuzz is sounding good but I am slightly concerned that it doesnt have enough volume on tap, that may just be a trick of the ears though as, like I say, I havent had much time to mess on with it.

There is a mod to fix this, its removing one of the resistors or something, sorry I can't be more specific but you should find it on the internet.

i did a buncha file work at a hospital once, and saw the inside of everyone's butthole within a 20 mile radius over the age of 30.

I have the tweak and did the mod. It is extremely usable now.

I will try to demo the amp/pedal this weekend.

To clarify; I work in Microbiology for the local hospital, I have been recently working in the enterics lab and "investigating faeces" for various bacteria. And most of the samples seem to be from old people.

Who says a hobby cant also be a job?

"...Word has it that Colm Ó Cíosóig and Hope Sandoval called it quits with The Warm Inventions in late 2010 so that she could jump start Mazzy Star while he joined a recently re-formed The Telescopes...Granted that they change the name of the band to accommodate Colm's name."

Reasonable.
