I was just watching a performance on CBC's Q by Wire; my curiosity was piqued by the guitar Colin Newman was playing. After a bit of poking around, thinking it was maybe an Ibanez of some sort, I found that it was an Eastwood copy of an Ovation Breadwinner.

From the vid, the mini-humbuckers sound pretty good... and it's got a great look.
Anyone have experience with them?

A bit off topic but I assume this a recent vid of Wire? The guy who recorded my band's last 2 ep's was working on a record they were doing last year and was hoping to get the 2nd guitar position when they toured, I guess he didn't get the gig as that's not him in the clip.
Is it the same guitar Robert Smith is playing in this clip? I always wondered what he was playing here, I did think it was an ovation though due to the logo on the headstock.

Never realized they were that big... And some here think the Ultracure is awkward...
Would be a fun time finding a case. Like how bright and jangly they sound.

Yeah, looks like the Ovation.
The Eastwood is apparently a little smaller than the original Ovation... but, I think it works better; the Eastwood's still pretty big
