NGD: Strazzmaster (Jazzcaster?)

Hi all, I've been reading these boards for some time and figured I'd post my recently built/acquired guitar.
It's essentially a Jazzmaster with a Stratocaster neck, hence "Strazzcaster."
I went a little crazy with taking pictures:
I started putting it all together a couple weeks ago, and after waiting for parts to arrive, and having to order different parts after some stuff didn't fit/work correctly, I finally got it all done and working right last week Tuesday, just in time for my birthday (which made it that much more exciting to finally be able to play it).
Plus, while I was at the guitar shop then I picked up a used Fender Blender as birthday gift for myself. I dig it, too.
In the relatively near future I plan on replacing the bridge with a Mustang bridge, and maybe some Bronco-style knobs. I'd like to get a vintage-style JM neck for it too, but the prices on ebay are absolutely ridiculous. I've been leaning towards Warmoth, which will probably be what I'll do, once I figure out how to finish/decal a neck. If anyone knows a place or someone or even themselves that has any of these things and are willing to sell for a decent price, I'd be very grateful. Thanks.

I love that finish.
I was imagining a Jazz body with strat pickups.

Looks good, man. Also welcome, in case no-one has said it already. Where did you get the body?

I don't see the point; What was wrong with a jazzmaster neck?

I would wager the Strat neck offeres a flatter radius, satin neck, cheaper and more readily available. More options in general.

i love strat necks on jazzmasters, however, i don't think it's enough to imply any change to the name. it's still a jazzmaster body with jazzmaster electrics.
looks marvelous.

Thank christ... when I first saw this I though someone had put a strat bridge/pickup system in a Jazz.
I had a barf bucket ready to go.

Beautiful guitar sir.

HSS STRATMASTER

this guitar is the FAIL of the day...seriously...they ruined everything cool about a Jazzmaster and basically made it a ho hum strat
this picture literally makes me feel angry!

i'd like it more if it had a two single coils, a 3 way switch, and a scratchplate mounted output jack. would rock it.
love jagmasters.

I do approve of jagmasters, though supersonics are far superior.

so basically a Telemaster...?.... that would be better than that white turd nugget above..... but still is not the AWESOMENESS of a Jazzmaster!!!

no, a telemaster is vastly different than what i conceptualized.
tele bridge = strat trem
tele pickups = strat pickups
tele pickguard = jazzmaster style pickguard
tele neck = strat neck
tele switch = 3 way switch
butt output jack = scratchplate mounted output jack
THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING

My anti-strat snobbery does not allow this statement to compute...

I always think of these when I think of Jazzmasters with strat electronics.
This guitar is such a mutt.
