what speakers do i need for my ac30

okay, i have an ac30 hand wired head now, but i'm not sure which speakers i need for the cab. the head has a switch for 8 ohm or 16 ohm, and the speakers (both 8 and 16 ohm available) i'm looking at cost the same. I'm looking at 2 alnico blue speakers for a 2X12 cab, and REALLY don't want to fuck up the amp with the wrong speakers.

I prefer greenbacks for an ac30 over the blues. Much cheaper as well.

depends on the wiring, your 2 8ohm speakers can either be wired to be 4 Ohm or 16 Ohm
and the 2 16 Ohm speakers can be wired for 8Ohm or 32 Ohm.. (if my math is correct..)
or you could wire each 8 Ohm speaker individual as a mono input, then run two cables from your head ...
i think that works...
as for the type.. i honestly don't notice much difference with the type.. but i hardly (read: never) play anything clean through my cab
