finally started my board build.
i've posted about trying to build a board ages ago and now i have the time and stuff to do it.
work had these mdf packing strips and a nice sized board for mdf that wasn't too big.
heres the board laid out with pedals on and the strips acting like a frame. i think after it's cut down it'll be the right size to fit in my old laptop messenger bag.
next for marking out with pen and cutting down. thinking of handles at the sides and using some george l's for patch cables.

so this is where i'm at now. i've cut the board down and mounted the frame round the edge. also underneath there is two rails at each end acting as long feet with two block top and bottom edge underneath. i've left a gap at the top left for power and cables in/out of the board. the holes are for the wah feet, so it slots in secure and you can use velcro.

Totally off topic... but is that angled line with the upwards point arrow the actual electronic symbol for gain? Is there an actual symbol?

Nice idea for a build Mr Prog!
I've been wanting to organise my pedals into some form of order for ages too..ive already got a flightcase/style board that a mate gave me, but it's not as accessible as something like youre creating...clever idea about the holes for the wah!..i took my feet off mine so's i could get my wah in the case...
My only problem now is i have another 2 pedals to the arsenal, so i shall watch how your board turns out, and consider building one too!
I can get mdf from work from mini pallets we get stuff delivered on....nice work!

Plasticote spray paint probably. Though I've never used it on mdf. I think primed and a couple of coats colour will be fine for it.
Before I left my old job, I Picked up a couple of sonic blue coloured spraycans quite cheap so might go that route.
I'm also gonna get handles for the top sides and maybe cable clips once I've got the layout sorted.

Yeh I was gonna say..that melt pedal is bright yella ha ha! Good pedal too...I bought it to get an Radiohead sound for playing Creep about 6 years ago..hav replaced it now with a Nano Clone...for playing Cars by Gary Numan ha ha!!!
Plasticotes good shit Prog! I sprayed an mdf fireplace surround in the stone effect stuff, and it turned out fab! Really durable, and mdf after priming takes paint really well!
If I remember I sealed it with pva glue first, primed it, then plasticoted it.
Inspired me to sort mine out now! Cheers!
Have a look in poundshops for handles and stuff, or maybe wilkinsons or b&q..
