Seems like the time for this would have been when Korn and Limp Bizkit were popular in 1999.

MSRP $2,129 and they put some fret markers on there?

I Think it's cool they kept the arrow headstock and just added a tuner to the tip.

Gabe will be surprised. I do not want this guitar.

The gearless tuners are nice. Cool with the headstock, but don't really care either way about the guitar.

I actually really like that. Now if epiphone have a go at it...

Ugly as sin, even without the wrong number of strings.

Looks completely uninspired. Gold hardware looks shit.

I think I'm alone in my love of gold hardware :?

I love gold hardware, but only when combined with the right guitar and the right colours. Gretsch can get away with it, for example.

I don't hate gold hardware outright, but SGs are the only guitars that look consistently good with it.

I do think it depends on the size of the guitar/colour scheme. But my first guitar had gold hardware so I think thats where the seed was sown - I love it on most guitars.

Well, all Fender styles, Ric's and acoustics are a big no-no as far as I'm concerned. Every now and then a nice non-SG Gibson or yes, Gretsch springs up with gold hardware but apart from that it looks so unbelievably tacky.

No fret markers works but the pale rosewood looks terrible. It needs to be something that at least looks like ebony. The jack socket mini pickguard is a detail too far, and of course the gold is ugly. They were quite close to pulling it off but got caught between keeping things simple and adding silly 'ornate' details.

Fender isnt the only one pinching their child companies ideas then. Epiphone released a seven string V (and Les Paul) years ago. I'd love one.

That's where I'm at.
Those tuners were really the best way to go, maintain the arrow headstock, pop a tuner on the tip, streamline the whole thing by getting rid of the machine heads. That looks nice, it's a nice symmetry.

Other than that, it's just a V with gold hardware. Boooooo.

I love that guitar. I shouldn't but something about it just makes me want to fuck shit up.

+1 On the headstock also. Great idea though I like the look of that epiphone more.

Ugh that's atrocious. We really don't need more butt-rock-friendly guitars.

I'm really looking forward to the days when you will be able to get more nice guitars that are 7-strings, with good single coils.

I think they made a few 7-string goths, which look a shit ton better than this pile of shit.
