Here is what I am working on currently. Warmouth body, Jagmaster neck, Duo-Sonic bridge, currently has a Carvin pickup but will have a Dmz fast track 2.

So what do you plan to do with it?
I quite like it, its a proper Pawn Shop guitar.

Well, it still badly needs setup. The Carvin pickup sounds like a single coil and they mount really poorly. It is broken and held in place with hot glue. I also only had A taper pots so I need to get a B in the tone position. I just got it together that far this morning.

DONT REFIN it´s sexy like it is atm.
Pickup is easy fix. i can sugest you do a Hand-made hot Alnico 5 Singlecoil
will sounds original. hat kit at stew-mac.can do like duo sonic ones but a little more hottie.
http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics ... ns#details
DuoSonic 42 Formvar 8350 turns
maybe 8410 tuns and see what happens
Pickguard is ok but i don´t find the Knobs matching, it´s need Mustang knobs. or witch hats.
check what brand are tunners if are non brand try put Gotoh ones.
check pots and 1/4 output , if are no brand replace for CTS 250k pots and Switchcraft 1/4 output .001 Capacitor.
check quality of wiring.

I really like it. I'm a huge fan of single pickup guitars. Yours looks great.
I like the idea of a sleeper guitar as well.

You should like them...you have a secret factory that produces them and sells them to Shortscalers.

Only problem is I keep more than I sell.

Thanks guys. I really want this thing to rip your head off with humbucking doom. Of the sc size humbuckers the Fast Track 2 seems to have the best tone and output from my experiences.

That looks so cool as it is, I don't think I would change a thing!
Fat single coil, or your sc humbucker route

Looks pretty cool, but the pickguard gap isn't too sexy. I mean this to be
constructive criticism.
I understand the intonation issues and that you're running a conversion neck.
But I have overcame similar issues with decent results;
► Show Spoiler
I'm using a 22.75" conversion neck but made my own pickguard to suit the bridge better.

Nice job! That does look good. I got my Dimarzio in there and got proper taper pot in for tone now, but I think I F'd my vol pot and got it too hot. Now it goes from 80% at 0 to 100% at 10.

That is a sexy beast, the sticker compliments it quite well.
Would look better with a PG like Addams though.

I am thinking of getting a top load tele bridge that extends up for the bridge pickup and cutting it to fill the gap.

no, please don't do that.

tele bridges are only cool because of the pickup that goes with them. I don't mind the gap.

That's a great idea.
