Price is obscene, but I prefer the more traditional Mustang body.

This was posted in the Pawnshop thread as well; pricey but I think it's great. I really like the clean lines, colour and bound neck. Craftsmanship looks top notch.

Until you try to play either E string.

This guitar is a great design & tech concept. But expensive...and payin for the faux aging? Ridiculous.

Bottom E looks fine but that can be sorted out with a setup; not really a deal breaker with folded or threaded saddles.

To my eyes the back end of the pickguard is wrong and the control plate too thin.
Basically, it looks cheap and ilconcieved. The Strat trem, which is always thrown on all cheap shoddy guitar these days does it no favours either.
Reshape the pickguard to fit around the bridge properly, fit a wider control plate and move the bridge pickup closer to the bridge and that would be worth £200 of anybody's money...
*edit*
Not a new concept either...
Fender Cyclone anyone?

Agreed, but, it's not an unusual price for a hand-built instrument. That said, I don't think you're gonna get a $3000 sound out of it
I do like the look of it... but I'm not sure I'll be super impressed with the sound. The MG6 DF55158 suffers from the same thing; nice looking and sounding guitar, but, still $3000, and not worth it. It basically sounds like a Les Paul.

It's $2,700.
I don't see how it can be sorted without replacing the bridge. You could raise the outer grub screw and lower the inner one to put the saddle on an angle and force the string in slightly that way, but you won't get enough to bring it in from the edge of the fretboard.
If the fret edges are at all rounded, and they should be on a guitar that costs that much, there's no way either e string is playable. Certainly not past the 12th fret anyway.

Plenty of Fenders I've come across don't align perfectly if you just sit the strings in the middle of the saddle, and even then the saddles tend to have a fraction of room either side. They're loose and not finite in their design.
Anyway, I don't think you can make an accurate enough judgement based on those pictures. I'm inclined to think it's perspective. I don't get hold of many bound necks but could that binding be playable surface as well?

All of the Fano Guitars would give me Bonez if they were not so damn expensive

There's no way they would sell guitars that were unplayable or flawed. Definitely just the photo.

Rather than using the evidence available you're saying it's definitely going to play fine because it's expensive?

I think the binding makes it seem closer to the edge than it really is.

I think I actually prefer the Fender pawn shop Mustang. If only it came in this colour.
