How do ya'll feel about aged covers?

I think it looks incredibly cheesy.

The Fender FR strat looks ok, the Squier one looks like a guitar hero controller.

I'm not against aged covers all the time but I agree about the ones on the CVs. Up close they look really stupid, sort of tranlucent and jelly-like - reminds me of creme caramel pudding...

Not in a rush to change it though.

i saw the new squier hanging next to the simon neil sig in a shop today, the reds are identical but the stark pickguard and aged covers on the CV look balls. they should have matched them one way or the other.

Those are some fine looking geets! Both fiesta reds look different though, neither of them look exactly fiesta, but it looks great with the maple neck.

I'm on the fence with the aged pickups. The distinction from the pickguard looks good, but at the same time the cream looks kinda phony. My CAR/rosewood strat has a white pickup with creme covers; contemplated a change, but it's not so bad. /ramble
