To all the orange owners, how do fuzzes respond to your amp. As some can remember, I've let go some of my much loved fuzzes as my dual terror doesnt work how they used to in my tweed. Probably to do with headroom or the darker nature of the amp, but I do miss a bit of fuzz. What fuzzes have you orange owners used that work good with them? I'd love a fuzz or sun face kinda fuzz, but if it didn't work with the amp, it'd be gutting.

Muffs do OK, but the best I found (by miles) was the big Dano Fabtone: sounded like Fu Manchu.

My Dwarfcraft Shiva is excellent through the Tiny Terror. My Effector 13 2ADD is also good, but they don't make that anymore as far as I'm aware.

have someone build u a DAM Meathead clone........ its a very good Fuzz face and is cheap as chips to make...its my fav FF..... mine works great with my DT.......... but at heart I am a Big Muff guy and my Hoof and IC BMP work great too...

Too bad ur across the pond as I have a decent collection of Fuzz and a DT in my Basement

I'm really not a fuzz fan at all so have very limited experience...but, NY Big Muff sounded pretty rubbish, but then I think that I just don't like that pedal - have never got it to sound great.
Otherwise Dano Cool Cat Fuzz is pretty cool, much more to my liking and obviously nice and cheap to try out.

the Cool Cat Fuzz is not very fuzz-like in its character.... it has more of a distortion sounding attack....that maybe why u liked it

Are you sure you're not confusing the big box Dano Fabtone (which I recommended, very distortion-like) with the Cool Cat (which Thom recommended, a Peach Fuzz clone, and fuzzy)?

positive, the "Peach Fuzz" clone does not sound very Peach Fuzzy..... had one...traded it.... had a harder edge than most fuzzes

it was a fuzz but had distortion character to it when playing...it does not play like most fuzzes

The Peach Fuzz Clone that is an almost identical clone of a Peach Fuzz didn't sound very Peach Fuzz-y to you?

I loved mine, and it had a very hard, IC-fuzz edge to it, but it was definitely fuzzy, in my opinion.

it is an "Almost" identical clone yes, but there are differences, the biggest difference, besides smd and normal parts, is the IC chip used, I forget the chip numbers but I do know the CC one uses a chip that has a much more scooped mid range.... so not identical

I have played both and the CC is no where nears as awesome but for the money it is solid

I know what u mean as the IC fuzz and IMO if u want a IC fuzz go get an IC BMP..... much better pedal!!!


Edit: and I think you are mis-understanding what I mean by played like a distortion..... It is a fuzz pedal, but the edge and pick attack response it has is distortion like, but it is a fuzz pedal

The Peach is very similar to the opamp version of the Big Muff. I really like the sound, but I agree with your sentiments regarding its character. I have a really nice Meathead clone here, as well as a Opamp muff clone if you are interested in either.

Personally I like the sound of a colorsound one knob fuzz clone thru the Tiny Terror of my buddies.

I know this answers the opposite of your question but when I had a Rocker 30 it didn't like my Way Huge Swollen Pickle MkII.
