Hi there everyone, and apologies for this boring first post but I'm looking to get my first single coil guitar (got old jap SG and Explorer copies) and I like the Jaguar. Have just been given a 2nd chance offer on ebay of 355....seems like a good deal but I don't really know about prices for these, should I be snapping it up? Another consideration is that I like to drop tune....how does a Jaguar cope with this?

Regarding drop tuning, you're gonna need to use thicker strings than you usually would for tuning low because a Jaguar is only 24" scale.

What color is it? £350 is a good price anyway, they were going for that in 2005.

I tried drop tuning with mine, down to A with 13 gauge strings. There was'nt enough tension for me and i find 25.5 scale better but it could work for you.

I second this, depending on condition.

It's in really good nick, just a couple of little knocks. It's sunburst and had the Mustang bridge mod already done. Seems like a good investment, as long I don't smash it up or set fire to it, it's not gonna depreciate right?

I don't really know about depreciation, but £355 is good for a japanese Jag. The japanese Fenders are really good apart from the pickups, but that can be sorted relatively cheaply.

I cant see it depreciate from £350 unless it gets all dinged up.
Sunburst seem to sell for less than the other colors but its still a good price.

£300 - £350 is about average i'd say. Will you have to pay postage & fees on top?

A 2006 JAG sold for £350 in 2005 did it belong to Marty McFly?
