I just saw this on Reranch. I was wondering if anyone ever routed and left the wood exposed. I guess it would collect dead skin.

Maybe someone could make a guitar with a built in ash tray & beer bottle opener.

I've seen bodies routed straight through, but I don't think I've seen any with chambers that simply weren't capped.
It's kinda interesting in its way.

How about plexiglass and filling it with spherical magnets that roll around and create fucked up interference? If only plastic wasn't so easily scratched. Maybe I will stick to solids.

I nailed one of these to a Crate 4x12 and wanted to stick one to a bastardcaster (like a fendery mongrel project that looks fucked anyway). I've since given up the latter idea because I'm pretty sure i'd just spill coke or beer on my pedals all the time opening them.

I went to try out for a band a few weeks ago. I had to borrow some guy's drum kit that they were sharing a room with.
When I took the drape off the kit, I saw this dude had gerry-rigged a fucking metal ashtray to a random tom arm and had clamped it to his fucking high hat stand.

Some guy did routes like that but all the way through the body and caped both sides w/ plastic on the tele forum. Freaky but dope
