Dunno who lives around here, or if they're even still for sale, but DAMN; $550 for a '76 AND '77 Musicmaster is a crazy deal.

I will give someone $500 to send me that 76. You can keep the 77.

I think a Music Master II might actually be like my dream guitar for some odd reason I have never really understood.

I e-mailed the seller right after i posted here.

He said that he had someone coming over to look at them last night. No word back yet :/

It's in the town i live, seller is, like 5 minutes away. We've had some crazy awesome stuff pop up lately, given the relatively unpopulated area. I guess it's thanks to the ginormous doom metal scene...

I request you continue to send me a heads up when such awesome stuff pops up in the future. ;)

My girlfriend's family lives right near DC. It's a good thing we weren't able to go up there to visit this week cause I just got my paycheck and it would be damn near impossible to hold myself back from buying these!

Some dude out here in Frederick, last month was selling both a Gibson RD Standard Bass (the Artists are rad w/their Moog innards... but i preffer the Standards) and a Ric 4001 Bass(a sexy white w/black pickguard/binding)... IIRC it was like, $1600 for the pair or best offer.

It can be...

But it can also be full of those dudes that try to sell their MiM strat for $500, and get pissy for people 'lowballing' them.

But forreal, western MD and west virginia had a pretty awesome doom metal and indie rock scenes in the 80's and 90's. As those musicians have aged, we get the occational radness. A buddy got a full Sunn 2000s and 2 matching 4x12's for $1200 a couple years ago, another friend bought one of Joe Laly's (Fugazi) Stingray basses off him for cheap through craigslist, haha, the drummer of Godsmack use to live here and his parents sold one of his drumsets on craigslist, Daniel Johnston signed guitars pop up now and then from his stint living in West Virginia...

...the best i've done was answering an add for a DOD250 for $15. When i showed up, freaking Wino (St. Vitus, The Obsesses, Shrinebuilder, Hidden Hand) answered the door.
