I stumbled across this while searching the interweb for something else, it really does sound awesome. I wish I had $350 to burn at the moment, but I don't.

Custom made for Billy Corgan and now available for mass consumption. A hybrid of his 2 favourite pedals. I don't know what i'd use it for but it would be a lot of fun to play with.

For the money, you can get far nicer IC Muff and Superfuzz clones, and have much more in the way of options. Seen that pedal posted around a fair bit - bit of a non-event, I reckon.

I'm sure you could. The blend knob is a nice idea, but I think I'd rather have the two pedals in one box and have the order switchable.

I can't tell if you're agreeing or disagreeing with me. Do you mean two pedals is separate boxes?

I'm agreeing with you and think that it could be done better. I'd like the two circuits in one box but with the order switchable by toggly as well as having the full controls offered by the pedals.

I think there are awesome sounds in the video though. They work well together.

I remember seeing some teasers about this from Devi and I think it's an absolutely killer product. The video showcases some amazing sounds, but I sort of agree with benecol (and Paul, I think?). If I can be a bit of a Negative Nancy, I'm admittedly not the target market for this product, as I can't imagine spending $350 on a unit consisting of two seminal fuzz circuits with a blend knob, an additional tone circuit, and a bit of Corgan mythos attached.

If I was someone not particularly handy with small electronics builds, this would be a steal—even at that price. I think the appeal of a product like this is about more than the product itself—it's about Devi. She and other independent builders (like several fellow shortscalers) have built such a fantastic brand and following that some less-gear-nerdy folks wouldn't care that it's a couple of dead-simple fuzz circuits, because it's simply another amazing-sounding Devi Ever product; therein lies the brilliance.

Exactly. You can't say it doesn't sound great, it clearly does. It looks fucking tits as well, so stylish.

But if I had one, I'd always know that I'd want it done differently and want both pedals. Actually, even if I had that, I'd probably still want this a wee bit too, because of how cool it looks and because it's Devi. That's shallow enough that I'd never think of getting one, but I'd be lying if I said that there isn't a small part of me that sees this and thinks "Fuck, do want."

This pedal sounds cool, shes's been spamming about it on facebook lately. For the money the Empress Multidrive wins by a long shot and it's 50 bucks cheaper.
