I have a 96 black super sonic that has been sitting around for a few years, and im thinking about putting it up on ebay.(i play bass mostly and need to put some fund toward new gear) can anyone recommend how much i should be trying to sell it for?

Its in good shape besides a few chips in the paint one near the neck and one on the bottom edge nothing that affects sound

thanks,
Rick

Worth doing a 'completed listings' search on ebay to see the current price trends. Then stick it as an auction and either hope for the best or set a reserve

Sorry I thought you were talking about the amplifier of the same name - the guitar is worth £10 and I'll happily buy it from you at that price ;)

They have been going for between $450 and $650 (USD) for the past year on eBay.
I've bought three on eBay and two in shops. And I've paid anywhere from $300 to $550 (Canadian) since 1998.
White ones seem to be the rarest. Blue and silver sparkle the most abundant, with black ones in between. I would suggest taking no less than $450, and seeing what an auction could get to.

Best keep trade and buying talks to PMs chaps as this is dangerously close to contravening the 'no selling/trading' rules which are reserved for the 50-post limited classifieds section. Not pointing any fingers but thought it worth saying before it carries on in this thread and leads to arguments we've seen many times before and inevitably escalate to banhammer-time. Rules are there to protect buyers and sellers from 'unknown' members with less than 50 posts after all and this is a good thing, i'm sure you can understand.
